5 ways to boost productivity while working from home

When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.

Now that most of us have been working from home, there has been an inevitable surge in our screen time. For some of us via mobile/desktop/both types of screens. We certainly need that gentle nudge to get off our seats to take that much-needed screen break. Hence, here is my list of the latest applications that are pretty fun to install and switcheroo with –

Habit Tracker – is available on iOS and it’s my personal favourite. I love how I’m encouraged to get a particular habit completed by setting reminders, timing myself when performing a habit, and picking a colour to fill in the habit once done. The upgraded version even lets you keep track of habits on a week-to-week and month-to-month basis, giving you a score that helps you perceive which habits need more focus. I have a habit to get away from my desk every hour from 9 – 5 to simply stretch my body, especially my arms, and legs. Highly recommend!

Screen Stopwatch(Works only on Android) – I like the weekly screen time update that I receive on my iPhone better but if you are an android user, this one is for you.

Glance back  – A Chrome Extension that acts as a daily photo diary. The extension captures random moments exchanged between you and your laptop/ desktop. Although captured unexpectedly, you can add captions to these images, which are stored on your local drive. Certainly makes fine work from home, lookbook!

Be Focused – Focus Timer (Works on Mac and is my personal favourite) Although a productivity app, this reminds me to get off my seat!

We Flip – a great way to turn away from tech for a while, especially as a group. However, with my family overseas, this doesn’t help me much but does certainly help me stay away from my phone when I’d like to give my 100% when working.

How dare you settle for less when the world has made it so easy for you to be remarkable?” – Seth Godin

A quote I take a cue from, to pursue greater goals, goals that give me the heebie-jeebies while I ensure I’m well-equipped to get to the top of my mountain in one piece.

Feel free to comment below on apps or tools you are making use of, right now to improve your productivity, your journey to the top of your mountain.
